Brainstorm how-to: brand your business

Branding one's business is no longer an option for an entrepreneur. If one wants to be taken seriously in business, he/she must brand their business to some degree or the other. This is something that takes time and effort. There is no denying that. It is no secret that the more time and effort that one puts into his/her business branding, the more successful that business is likely to become. If for some reasons the funds might not be readily available for usage toward branding then that's okay. There are multiple social media platforms that can be used efficiently to help to build one's brand.


Here are a few suggestions of platforms that can be leveraged to help build your brand and hopefully garner you some business along the way. First and foremost, blogs are a great way to connect with your audience and keep them coming back. They can also be a great way to position yourself as an authority in your field. There are several sites that offer free blogging platforms. One of my favorite site is blogger from Google. The other blogging site that I used was offered to me in conjunction with the my website package. Explore your options and find out what works best for you and then use it to connect with your audience. Be sure to add 'Tags' to your blog to make it easy for visitors to search your blog according to topic.


In addition to blogs, be sure to take advantage of other free social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. Though some of the sites do offer premium services, they are not always necessary for successfully branding your business. The key to it all is to be consistent. Post daily, weekly, or monthly, but be consistent. I can not reiterate that enough. If I were to be honest, it is something that even I struggle with as a marketer. 


I behoove you, utilize three or four social platforms and consistently put out quality content that your audience will appreciate. Establish yourself as an expert in your field and begin to, or continue to expand your brand. For now, create accounts on those platforms and be consistent in your posts. Start today.
